Upgrade to WordPress Google friendly web pages

Over the past two years we’ve been converting old html static page websites to WordPress web pages

Why?

In April 2015 Google changed it’s delivery policy on results pages, it clearly stated, having identified that over 50% of its results were viewed on mobile devices, that all websites needed to be ‘mobile friendly‘ or as we call it in the trade – ‘responsive’.

Google set up a checking service: search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly to help developers and designers to evaluate existing pages. Here at OHM we decided to design all new websites using WordPress and for good reason:

• SEO is built into all pages and posts so clients can update their search terms
• There’s a lot of support info out there in Google land – forums, help pages and videos
