New Chamber of Trade website goes live

Oast House Media have been working with Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade for the past year, building a new database website for the membership. The new design uses the power of WordPress’s post page system, an easy to add/edit page creation area where the administrators can create bespoke page information for new members. There’s also an ad banner system installed and members can request additional content for their pages like image galleries and additional pages if required to create their own mini website. Each members post page is also fully optimised for Google and other search engines, making it one of Deal and Walmer’s premier business platform and a...

Client “responds” to web design service

New client (see news post) Shaun Hopkins shared his thoughts with us, so we’d like to do a little boast. Always nice to get some feedback especially when it’s a positive one. See more web design client reviews

As sponsors of The St. Stephen’s Golf Society we were asked to upgrade the existing design to add more pages and get the design mobile friendly (responsive). As an active member of the society, baby sleeping aids products, company director Nigel Stevenson also suggested that the new design used more image content and made the site easier and quicker to update. new website design for canterbury tree surgeon

Just in time for the storms!

Canterbury based tree surgeon John Barton has been a website design client for many years, he was in fact the first tree surgeon with a website back in the day. John’s advertising partners have been on at him for some time to go ‘mobile friendly’ and having read our monthly newsletter about responsive website design, he called and we got the conversion process going. The brief from John was to comply with the Google ‘responsive’ web page requirement and expand his geographical keywords to compliment his campaign and paper advertising. This type of business is one of the few left still using traditional paper based marketing! The conversion process...

harbour print new website design

Local signage company website design is not sticking around

Harbour print based in the old western docks rail station, Dover have been web clients for many years now. The original website was designed by owner Stuart Divito with a bit of guidance from us so all we had to do was convert his design files. The new WordPress ‘responsive’ design simply followed on from that design styel but the client wanted more imagery to view on the new web pages. Having built up a large portfolio of work and many images of signage, printing and design this has been a very easy project to put together. It’s always a pleasure to work with fellow design trades who understand the...

Spy in the cab website in the fast lane (update)

The tachograph has been euphemistically called the ‘the spy in the cab’ for years but did you know it was originally used on trains? The Daniel Tachometer was used on railways in 1844 and in 1985 tachographs were mandatory throughout the EEC for commercial trucks. I’m not saying that Faversham based Operator Compliance owner Clive Glaze has been specialising in Tachograph Analysis since 1844 but he certainly packs in the knowledge with over 20 years in the business. As an existing client we offered Clive a ‘like-for-like’ conversion to a Google mobile friendly ‘responsive’ website design last year (2015) through our regular client newsletters. With the transport trade mostly using...

Disco website, just in time for Christmas

I met the new prospective client in a transport café just off the A2 near Canterbury. A busy man running 2 businesses in north Kent, we both agreed website design discussions go well with a bacon sandwich and a mug of tea! And so it was proved to be correct, we firmed up on pages, content and a price within 30 minutes and spent the rest of our meeting talking about cricket. That’s what I call a constructive days work and the website has everything the client wanted – good text content, images and videos all held together in an imaginative WordPress website design. Social media links and editable Google friendly...
