Server migration completed

As part of our hosting services we occasionally have to upgrade our servers, just like your PC or Mac, servers get old and need changing.

Hosting servers include web pages and emails so the migration has to be a seamless process. With over 50 clients to move we initially completed an email usage audit to check device use, we then issued an instruction web page and on the day of the migration, a change of connection notice.

The Plesk program on both the old and new servers has a migration app that enabled a mirror copy of the existing web and email settings, all we had to do on completion was a DNS change of IP addresses.

OHM are happy to report that the majority of clients moved without issue, there were so errors that have been fixed (we didn’t expect a 100% trouble free journey!)
