How does ChatGPT work for web design?

Here at Oast House Media we’ve been using Ai to help create some page content. As the platforms improve we now feel confident that we can supply genuine original content for our clients web pages.

The emphasis is on ‘original’ as search engines, especially Google, penalise duplicate content.

The market leaders GPT Chat and China’s DeepSeek have some unique algorithms used to create text content but how does it work?

We asked GPT Chat to answer that question…

1. Training:
   • It’s trained on tons of text (books, websites, etc.) to learn language, facts, and reasoning.
   • Fine-tuned with human feedback to make answers more accurate and helpful.
2. How It Responds:
   • You ask a question.
   • The model analyzes your words using a system called Transformers.
   • It predicts and generates the best response based on patterns it learned.
3. What It Can Do:
   • It remembers context within a conversation (up to a limit).
   • It knows a lot of general info and can explain or summarize topics.
4. Limitations:
   • It doesn’t truly “understand” things—it works off patterns.
   • Sometimes, it can give wrong or outdated info.

Why use Ai text content?
To save time and money! But it can also be used to research a subject so the author can adapt the results. We’ve also used Ai to answer a question, we even asked [DeepSeek] how reliable Oast House Media were as a company, favorable reply thankfully.

The future of Ai?
Within the web design trade, we can see an Ai infrastructure completing a website, hosting and buying the web name fairly soon. The only problem will be is when Google and other search engines use their Ai to work out that the web content is not human generated.

We can also see a a big future for Ai generated imagery and videos. Digital editing and photography are very expensive. We’ve sampled an Ai generated image of a lizard, this could take over 50 work hours to create, an Ai digital editing service could create this image free of any charges!

…it’s 1-0 to the Ai bots at the moment!
